New Old Store Stock.  Pewter Large Heart with Roses and Leaves Lid and Potpourri or Trinket Glass Bowl.  Very Ornate Victorian detailed pewter lid. Heart shaped with a lattice design in the middle. Tiny roses dot the entire heart with leaf vines.  Can also use this item to hold a flower arrangement on a table. The pewter lid is very heavy. Perfect for potpourri, rings, earrings or as a decorative piece on a table.  Signed. 

Metzke Pewter was founded in 1963 by Dr. Fred W Metzke and wife Mary. Dr. Metzke passed way in 1994.  Each product was hand finished and shipped from the Metzke factory in Tallahassee, Florida.  Clients included Disney World, Neiman Marcus, The Smithsonian and Dillards. Designs by Metzke, Inc. officially closed its doors in 1997 after realizing it could not continue to compete with the foreign market of imported pewter giftware. It is stamped Metzke and dated on front lower left corner of heart lid. MADE IN U.S.A.
 
No chips, nicks, cracks or scratches. In exceptional new condition and looks fantastic for its age. Measures: Glass Bowl 5 3/4" wide, 3" tall. Lid 5 1/2" width and 5 1/4" length.  Original box included. Double boxed.
