Vintage 1980s Filigree Silver Overlay 5 Ball Necklace.
 
A delicate Art Deco design dangling Filigree silver overlay 5 balls and double link chain necklace. Attractive open link chain with a lobster clasp closure.
 
9 inches long with Filigree balls at the end and 2 at the sides. Each Filigree ball measures ABT 1/2 inch width. In excellent condition with no dents and no signs of wear. Can be worn in the day or evening.
 
Filigree was commonly used in the Art Deco era, c. 1920 – 1935. Metals, precious and semi-precious, were die-cast into extravagant pieces of jewelry, each displaying a very unique and often dainty design. This is a filigree, delicate, lacelike ornamental openwork necklace.
