Vintage unique and beautiful handmade necklace designed in a French Fleur-de-lis style. In excellent condition.

Add a touch of vintage beauty to your outfit with this stunning hand-painted Fleur-de-lis glass bead necklace. The necklace features a royal blue and gold color combination that complements any outfit. The pendant shape is Fleur-de-lis, and the necklace is 17.5 inches long with a beaded chain type. This necklace is perfect for fun, casual, or party occasions. A vintage piece from the 1970s-1980s era, but it has been handmade with care in the United States. The necklace is not signed, but it is a unique and beautiful piece of fashion jewelry.

A French crest is painted on both sides of 4 large royal blue egg shape glass beads in white, trimmed in gold and royal blue. A combination of gold bead caps on the top and bottom of each 4 large egg-shaped beads gives an extra sparkle. A Fleur-de-lis handmade Glass Lampwork Bead pendent in amber color hangs at the end of the necklace. The fleur-de-lis is based on the shape of a lily. In  French, fleur-de-lis means "lily flower" or "flower of the iris.  The flower also is used to mean beauty and sophistication.  The design has a French or New Orleans Mardi Gras flare.

Stunning groups of royal blue glass and amber beads, alternate to make up the neckless. Has a Screw Clasp, but you can just slip it over your head. An interesting, fun conversation piece of jewelry. Wear with a basic dress, pants, shirt or skirt with plain top to show off the striking handmade necklace.  Comes with a pretty gift box. Double boxed for shipping.

With each use, the fleur-de-lis holds unique symbolism Purity. In a religious context, it may denote purity. French monarchs used the symbol to denote the divine right to rule. The fleur-de-lis is an iconic symbol that permeates modern culture. You can find the design at the top of fence posts, church windows, on the north point of a compass, on the pattern of fabrics, and in the details of countless designs.
