Vintage, Old Store Stock. Japanese Woven Ikebana Flower Arranging Basket. In Excellent Condition for its age.
This is a true work of art texture Ikebana basket. Hand woven. This style basket I used for Ikebana Flower Arranging. Can also be used for artificial or real Orchid plant for displays. This is my last basket of this type of design. The main basket is woven in a neutral color and has small bamboo twigs all around the body of the basket. It has 2 twisted rattan bands which are wrapped around the small twigs in a horizon patter.
The bamboo and twigs have a protective transparent varnish. The tall handle is made from smaller twigs and wrapped with rattan. This is a beautiful handcrafted basket for your collection. Would look nice on a shelf with other collectibles.
Measurement: 12 ½ inches in height to handle, 3 ½ inches opening on top, 14 inch circumference
