Her long-sleeved kimono captures the colors of Japan with a variety of orange, red, and pink shades. The fabric resembles the shiny appearance of silk, and the traditional flower pattern found on kimonos is artistically replicated on this tiny version.

The look is made complete with a green Obi wrap secured by a white cord. Barbie's hair is tied neatly in a bun, and her makeup looks exactly as it would have in 19th-Century.
